CHIDUKWA RIVER LODGE

Situated about 30km upstream from the Victoria Falls, Chindukwa River Lodge is a unique property that blends naturally with the riverside waterberry trees.

Each house is complete with en –suite bathroom and commanding views of the Zambezi River, Chundu Island and Zimbabwe’s Zambezi National Park.

   
     

ISLAND OF SIANKABA

 

The Island of Siankaba Lodge is the most classic of forested retreats with seven secluded chalets, each with its unique and individually different view of the Mighty Zambezi River.

All of this is located on two un touched Island in the middle of the Zambezi River situated between the magnificent Victoria Falls, and the world famous Chobe National Park.

The Island of Siankaba has been developed as a luxurious five (5) star Lodge exclusively sleeping just 14 guests. The two Islands are linked by a suspension bridge leading to an overhead walkway in the tree canopy which connects the elevated chalets.

The lodge has also developed a reputation for excellent food and wines for ‘haute-cuisine in the bush’ to complement its first class service.

MARAMBA RIVER LODGE

 

Maramba River Lodge is situated in the Mosi-oa- Tunya National Park, on a bluff overlooking the Mighty Zambezi River, and 4km from the Victoria Falls.

Four luxury safari tents provide a camping experience with all the comfort of a lodge. Each tent is individually located with en-suite bathroom and shower. Tents are made available with twin beds, doubles or singles.

Maramba’s private chalets are spacious and airy, with en-suite tiled bathrooms and views of the river or the flood waterhole.

Chalets are available in twins, double and family units that sleep four. Maramba also caters for traditional camping, with lawn for pitching tents, two ablutions blocks, picnic tables and barbecue stands. The lodge is often visited by the park’s resident wildlife. Guests can enjoy the frog chorus and other sounds of the African night.

The new conference centre, located close to the lodge facilities and with ample parking space, can accommodate any size of group from 10 to 150. The Maramba restaurant, with tiled with wooden deck, offers a full a’ la carte menu for adults and young diners.

   
     

ROYAL CHUNDU ZAMBEZI SAFARI LODGE

 

Situated in the Katombora forest some 60 km from Livingstone, the royal Chundu is a boutique lodge comprising 10 super air conditioned suites set in the landscape gardens and over looking the Zambezi River.

Each suite is beautifully furnished with ethnic décor, mosquito nets and fans. Daily house keeping and laundry services are provided to guests.

The lodge that has just been refurbished has a new restaurant, lounge, bar area, library, swimming pool and deck area directly into the river.

   
     
     

 

STANLEY SAFARI LODGE

 

Stanley Safari Lodge is the ideal base for exploring the Victoria Falls. Located on a hill within range and with a magnificent view of the falls, the Zambezi River, and the Elephants’ drinking places, this exclusive lodge is positioned in a secluded bush.

It is an ideal place to rest before or after a safari in Botswana, Namibia or Zambia. The lodge has eight rooms and provides two members of staff per client to ensure unprecedented level of service

SUSSI LODGE AND CHUMA HOUSE

 

The 12 luxury tree houses and two private villas of Sussi and Chuma are built into the living canopy of giant ebony trees lining the banks of the Zambezi River. Located in the Mosi-oa-Tunya National Park, peace and tranquility reign supreme and the river bank teems with wildlife.

Recently refurbished to the highest standards, Sussi and Chuma, brings a sense of style and sophistication to this riverside haven. Each room is equipped with en-suite facilities plus air conditioning, overhead fans, mini bar, tea/coffee facilities, mosquito nets and hairdryers.

The main building features a spectacular raised bar/lounge, indoor and outdoor dining area, wine cellar and deck. An infinity pool with its deck on the edge of the Zambezi River and a spectacular island sundowner deck is a perfect venue for relaxing. A waterside spa and curio shop offer everything a guest could need. Meals are a la carte. The Chuma house accommodates four people and is served by a private chef, butler and a house keeper.

   
     
     

TAITA FALCON LODGE

 

Taita Falcon Lodge has a spectacular location on the edge of the Batoka Gorge, offering superb view of the raging waters of the Zambezi River 200 meters below.

From the lodge, with its central living area, viewing deck and pool, guests follow a path through native bush and gardens to their secluded chalets. All the furnishing has been fashioned by local craftsmen. The resident Taita and Peregrine falcons, Vereaux Eagles and other bird species are special features.

A sumptuous three- course buffet dinner is served in the open-sided dining area.

Each Chalet is en-suite, with mosquito nets on all beds. The open plan chalets are made out reed and stone. Of the six chalets, two can be made up as family rooms, sleeping a maximum of two adults and three children. The remaining four chalets can be made up either double, twin or triple room.

 

     
     

THE RIVER CLUB

 

The river club is a safari hotel with a distinctly Edwardian flavor. It has a tranquil setting on the Zambezi River, 18km upstream from the Victoria Falls. A maximum of 20 people are accommodated in 10 luxury thatched chalets with fans overlooking the river. En-suite facilities include bath, shower, toilet and basin, two honeymoon suites.

The main house contains the dining room, lounge and pub area and a library, swimming pool with river view. Guests can stay either under an all-inclusive rate or on a dinner, bed and breakfast basis.

Lion roars can often be heard at night from the Victoria Falls National Park just across the river, in Zimbabwe. Hippos are regularly sighted along the river edge.

 
     
     

THORN TREE RIVER LODGE

 

The secluded Thorn tree River Lodge is located along the Zambezi River, the Mosi-oa-Tunya National Park, is just 15km upstream from the Victoria Falls. The lodge offers guests a unique and personal African experience. The whole complex is built from natural materials, with indigenous woods and thatch proving cool shade and the authentic feel of a safari camp.

Accommodation consists of seven standard rooms and two suites, all with en-suite facilities. The lodge offers superb river views from its main deck and private verandahs. Welcome drinks and excellent cuisine are enjoyed from the centrally situated lounge and dinning area and swimming pool with water-level bar.

   
     
     

TOKA LEYA CAMP

 

Toka Leya camp is a new property. The camp situated on the banks of the Zambezi River in the western sector of the Mosi-oa-Tunya National Park, some 12km up stream from the Victoria Falls.

Toka Leya consists of 12safari-style tents, each en-suite with a view of the Zambezi River and some of its islands. The camp’s dinning and bar area is set beneath a shaded canopy of jackalberry and waterberry trees over looking the river and a swimming pool.

   
     
     

WATERBERRY LODGE

 

Waterberry Lodge, is just 35 minutes from Livingstone International Airport, has a wonderful secluded position besides the Zambezi River.

Guests can relax on the sundeck, in the viewing lounge or around the pool, al fresco meals barbecue cooked under the stars. Hippos and Elephants are frequent visitors especially at dusk and there is diverse birdlife.

There is comfortable en-suite accommodation in double, twin or family thatched lodges close to the swimming pool with views over the river and private lake.

Two superb new chalets have their own private decking at the rear, over looking the lake.

   
     

      TONGABEZI SAFARI LODGE

 

       Tongabezi Safari Lodge, on the banks of the

       Zambezi River, just upstream from the

          Victoria Falls, is a luxurious up market lodge

       with a romantic free-flow design. Most of the   

       rooms are open fronted and the décor is   

       African, with attractive fabric and fittings.

         Perfect for those seeking for unforgettable  

       African holiday, the lodge can accommodate

       22 guests in five river cottages and four open-       fronted houses and one enclosed cliff top  

       house.

       All rooms have stunning views over the   

       Zambezi with magnificent sunsets.

     

       The Cliffside swimming pool overlooks the

       children, run with support from the lodge and

DAVID LIVINGSTONE SAFARI LODGE & SPA

 

David Livingstone Safari Lodge & Spa is an exclusive lodge offering world class facilities near to the thunder of the falling water and towering columns of spray of the Victoria Falls.

The Lodge consists of 77 rooms, all en-suite, of which five are signature suites and two rooms are designed to accommodate the disabled.

All rooms overlook the Zambezi where a leisurely sundowner can be enjoyed on private balconies. Each room features satellite TV, radio, coffee making facilities, mini bar, telephone, internet, hairdryers and air conditioning are provided as standard features, 24 hour room service, wake up calls and a laundry service too.

THE ZAMBEZI SUN

 

The Zambezi Sun is a three-star hotel located on the banks of the Zambezi River and offering comfortable environment to suit all tastes. The hotel has something of the feel of a walled city. It is built around a large central pool that allows guests to cool off during the hottest times of the day. 

There are 212 rooms offering a variety of views. Open and Airy, the rooms are designed in a Zambian style creating an atmosphere of bright, earthy colors that is attractive and welcoming. All rooms are air conditioned and have satellite TV.

Lunch is served al fresco at a poolside grill, while the indoor buffet restaurant serves breakfast and dinner.

 

   
     

THE ROYAL LIVINGSTONE

 

The royal Livingstone is a modern five-star luxury hotel that captures the opulence of former times through its elegant décor, fine dinning and personalized service. The hotel consists of 17 colonial-style villas set in 46 hectares and close to Mosi-oa-Tunya National Park. It is an excellent base from which to see the falls.

The bedrooms are two-storey clusters inspired by the grand estate houses of a bygone era. Each contains 10 en-suite air conditioned rooms with private balconies and terraces.

The main building contains the library, lounge, restaurant and bar. There is a swimming pool with timber deck extending into the Zambezi River.

Guests can enjoy a leisurely breakfast or al fresco lunch on the veranda. High tea is served daily in the lounge. Dinner is served in the dinning room or guests can have a private meal on their balcony. Special candle-lit dinners can be arranged.

Opened in 2008, Protea hotel Livingstone is only 10minutes away from the Victoria Falls, offers 80 deluxe rooms with air conditioning, tea/coffee making facilities, electronic safes and electronic door locks, telephone and Satellite TV.
